The mission of Harnett Cares is to facilitate greater access to and awareness of resources, services, and opportunities while fostering meaningful community connections to help residents, businesses, and organizations in Harnett County feel more informed, supported, and connected.
The goal is to create a unique framework that fosters local connection, collaboration, and access to build a strong, interconnected ecosystem where the community can thrive.

Harnett Cares is designed to lay the foundation for a more centralized and accessible method of local communication. It will serve as a solution to the challenges of scattered information, gaps in access, and the lack of consistent connection that affects residents, businesses, and organizations alike. By streamlining how local information is shared and received, the project will help ensure everyone has a clearer path to the resources and engagement needed to support their goals.
Harnett Cares will serve as a community-driven communication and connection hub, bringing together residents, businesses, and organizations in one place. It’s about sharing resources, promoting events, featuring local services, coordinating efforts, cultivating connections and so much more! The plan is to create a county-wide system where local information flows freely and connections can happen more easily and effectively.

In rural counties like Harnett, economic development shouldn’t be defined solely by recruiting big business, outside investment, or corporate employers. It also needs to start at home and build from within by empowering residents, supporting small enterprises, and strengthening the social and economic fabric of the local community.
Harnett Cares aims to support this approach by serving as an unconventional economic driver, with a focus on building a new infrastructure that supports community well-being and fosters better pathways to success for the people who live and work in our community.
